Alan Myers has three-word response to Everton signing Bayern Munich defender

Everton could make a serious push to sign Bayern Munich right-back Sacha Boey in the winter transfer window.

Boey has had an apparent falling out with Vincent Kompany, and the Toffees have now been linked with a move for the French defender.

David Moyes can’t continue to rely on Jake O’Brien at right-back, and reinforcements in that department should be a priority for the Blues.

While Nathan Patterson has been decent in recent matches and Seamus Coleman has returned from his injury, the Scottish manager surely needs more quality in the area.

Everton interest in Sacha Boey not well known

Alan Myers doesn’t seem to be aware of the talks surrounding Boey’s potential move to the Toffees in the coming weeks.

When one user on X asked the former Sky Sports journalist on 21 January about the Blues’ chance of signing the 25-year-old, he responded, “Not heard that.”

It remains to be seen how the story will develop before the 2 February deadline, as fans expect quality signings at the Hill Dickinson Stadium to secure a European spot in the Premier League.

Moyes may lose Jack Grealish for a considerable period after the England international picked up a foot injury.

The Friedkin Group haven’t backed the Scottish manager in the winter transfer window, but the American owners now have to show more ambition.

While Boey’s arrival would address a pivotal issue at the Merseyside outfit, it doesn’t look like anything is advanced regarding a possible deal right now.

While Moyes may want a few permanent signings at the Hill Dickinson Stadium in January, the Toffees are only planning on a couple of loan arrivals.

Everton were forced to recall Harrison Armstrong from Preston North End due to the clear lack of squad depth, and it’s been surprising to see them not work to address that.

While Iliman Ndiaye and Idrissa Gueye will be available soon after winning the Africa Cup of Nations with Senegal, Grealish’s injury is a massive blow.

TFG are undoubtedly letting Moyes down, and the American owners don’t seem serious about making progress at the Hill Dickinson Stadium this season.
