Arsenal Women welcome Tottenham Hotspur Women to Emirates Stadium in a huge Women’s Super League clash on Saturday evening.

A gap does remain between the league’s elite and Tottenham, who find themselves well clear of the chasing pack. But they have proven capable of challenging the top sides on their day.

Tottenham looking to bridge gap to WSL elite

Sitting in no man’s land between the top four and the chasing pack, the current positioning of Ho’s side is largely positive given their immense progress, though the sizeable gap to the title chasers does remain.

Spurs have proven capable of challenging at the top end of the league this term, with European football even mooted at times this term – though the overall consistency of the league’s elite is something that the Lilywhites are yet to add to their game.

With Ho’s new deal in mind, alongside a new Tottenham deal for Matilda Vinberg, the longer-term project is underway at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, where the club are aiming to reach the levels set by Manchester City, Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea.

Spurs are preparing to face two of those side’s successively, with Saturday’s North London derby followed up with a big FA Cup quarter-final against Chelsea.

Ho’s side have proven capable of fighting against them on their day, and will look to cause a big upset in the next week as they aim to bridge the gap to the top moving forward.
