Barry Ferguson and Tom Miller claim Rangers player has agreed new contract
Barry Ferguson and Tom Miller have claimed that Liam Kelly has extended his Rangers contract.
As things stand, there has been no official confirmation from the Gers regarding the goalkeeper’s future, with his current deal set to expire at the end of the season.
Ferguson suggested that the Scottish shot-stopper has apparently agreed a new deal, with Miller affirming that he will be at Ibrox for at least another year, and the two may have inside knowledge about the situation.
Kelly has been a backup for Danny Rohl at the Glaswegian outfit, and while it would make sense to keep him for the foreseeable future, nothing is certain unless the Govan side make an announcement.

🚨 RANGERS TRANSFER UPDATE 🚨
The latest breaking news on signings, departures, and Danny Röhl’s primary targets.
Rangers should extend Jack Butland and Liam Kelly contracts
Jack Butland’s contract at Ibrox expires in 2027 and the Englishman has admitted he would be open to a renewal.
The 32-year-old shot-stopper has been a key player for the Gers since signing in 2023, and while he lost his number one spot towards the end of last season, he has been one of the best players under Rohl in the current campaign.
Kelly has made a few appearances in the cup competitions, but the German manager has hardly relied on him.
The 30-year-old Scot must have surely been disappointed to be dropped from the starting lineup in the Scottish Gas Scottish Cup quarter-final tie against Celtic after being in goal for the previous two rounds.
It’s hard to see Kelly getting regular minutes at the Glaswegian outfit next season if he stays, but it looks like he’s already made a decision.
Speaking on Five Stars VIP on 17 March, Ferguson said, “I think Kelly has extended already, hasn’t he?” and Miller responded, “Yeah, I think he has extended by an extra year.”
Danny Rohl can turn attention to other priorities after Liam Kelly contract agreement
If Butland and Kelly end up staying at Rangers after the 2025-26 campaign, Rohl surely won’t have any concerns about his goalkeeping department.
The recruitment department at the Gers can likely focus on key areas of the pitch that need to be addressed in the summer, with a mini-overhaul on the horizon.

James Tavernier, Max Aarons, Nasser Djiga, Derek Cornelius, Jayden Meghoma, Nicolas Raskin, Andreas Skov Olsen, Mikey Moore and Bjan Miovski all have uncertain futures in Govan due to various reasons.
The Glaswegian outfit could potentially need to add quality across most areas of the pitch, leaving the management with plenty of preparation to do before the upcoming transfer window.
