Boyd names SPFL attacker Rangers should keep close tabs on, he can have impact at Ibrox
Rangers and Celtic should be in the race to sign Motherwell forward Tawanda Maswanhise in the winter transfer window.
The 23-year-old has caught a lot of people’s attention, scoring 10 goals in 19 William Hill Premiership appearances this season.
Maswanhise has been linked with a move to Ibrox, although sources at Fir Park have played down suggestions of the Zimbabwe international’s exit.
Bojan Miovski and Yossef Chermiti may not be enough for Danny Rohl, and the Glaswegian outfit could undoubtedly do with a reliable goalscorer as they push to win the league title.

Tawanda Maswanhise can have an impact at Rangers and Celtic
Kris Boyd believes both the Gers and Celtic should be looking to sign someone like Maswanhise.
The former Scotland international wants the Ibrox hierarchy to keep a close eye on the versatile forward who can play as a number nine.
There’s no doubt that the Zimbabwean can make a difference at either of the two Glaswegian outfits, having already shown his quality at Fir Park.
Speaking on Go Ballistic on 19 January, Boyd said, “There’s no doubt for me, Maswanhise, will he be Celtic’s number nine for a long period of time? No. But can he have an impact? Yes, he can. The exact same is what he can do with Rangers.”
The Scotsman added, “If I’m Rangers or Celtic, I’d be keeping close tabs on him.”
Brendan Rodgers was a big fan of Maswanhise, and one must wonder whether the Northern Irish head coach would’ve made a move for the attacker in January had he not resigned at Parkhead earlier in the campaign.
Ibrox hierarchy looking to complete another loan-to-buy January deal, this time for striker
Rangers have emerged as strong candidates to sign Tomas Cvancara from Borussia Monchengladbach.
The Gers want to sign the striker on loan until the end of the season with an option to buy him in the summer.
Appearances 11 Starts 6 Minutes per game 48 Goals 1 Big chances missed 2
Cvancara doesn’t seem to be in the Bundesliga outfit’s plans, having returned to Germany from Antalyaspor early after his temporary move was cut short.
The 25-year-old Czechia international has struggled for form in recent seasons, but just like Andreas Skov Olsen, the Glaswegian outfit may be where he can kickstart his career.
