It doesn’t look like things are going to get better any time soon, with Brian Sorensen facing transfer frustration within the camp on Merseyside.

Kelly Gago wants out of Everton Womens in January

Kelly Gago has three league goals this campaign and has been one of the Blues’ best players throughout the campaign.

That has raised interest in her signature, with a move away from L4 emerging as a potential January transfer before the end of the window.

Gago has been linked to PSG this winter, with Megan Feringa previously reporting that the Parisians want the 26-year-old.

The France international is interested in a move away from Goodison, although an exit is yet to be agreed with less than two weeks remaining in the window.

Everton boss Sorensen has now confirmed that the forward is looking to force an exit, but the Blues are willing to hold out for one thing.

Brian Sorensen confirms Gago transfer stance

The French attacker has set out her stall and has confirmed that she wants to move away from Merseyside at the next opportunity.

With PSG interested, that hardly comes as a surprise, with Sorensen now speaking out in his press conference to confirm her stance.

He said: “She’s out for the minute, not fit and available to play, but yeah, she wants to go.

The issue for Gago and any interested party is that Everton will only let her go if her release clause is paid, something which hasn’t been offered yet.

The Danish head coach added, “She has a release clause in her contract, so the club that wants her can just pay that, and she’s free to go.

“But from my understanding, it’s like 10 per cent of that release clause has been submitted, so I don’t think she’s going anywhere.“

It looks as if the Toffees are going to remain firm on a deal for Gago, so a move away from L4 will all depend on finances this summer.
