“If they stay in the Championship, he will certainly be a player of interest to Everton.

“He’s starting to show the form that Manchester City were expecting from him after his academy days.

“Everton would be an interesting club for him, especially being from Manchester. It’s only 40 minutes down the road to Liverpool.

“Maybe he wants to move up North and be closer to his family, so it could be a perfect fit.

“Southampton will ask for £25m, and Everton could go for that.”

Charles has been eyed by Everton already, and he could prove to be a shrewd piece of business moving into the summer.
