Celtic next manager: Robbie Keane odds tumble after Scott Brown meeting
Celtic are currently on the hunt for their next manager, with Martin O’Neill set to depart at the end of the season.
The Hoops could still come away with an unlikely domestic double this campaign. However, no matter what happens, it has been clear that the quality has dropped.
As a result, it is vital that the club gets the appointment right to oversee a massive rebuild in the summer.
Robbie Keane has been one of the biggest names linked, with the former Hoops star’s odds of getting the job standing at 6/4, with Oddschecker on 30 April, confirming that these odds have been slashed.
Now, with the summer getting closer, the former striker could find himself back at Celtic Park ready for the upcoming 2026-27 campaign.

Scott Brown reportedly meets Robbie Keane
According to Ripost on 27 April, Keane met with Scott Brown recently, which has helped encourage speculation about a potential appointment in the coming months.
The Ferencvaros boss has shone this season in Hungary, with the club hunting for the league title after doing well in the Europa League.

However, former Fradi coach Csaba Laszlo, who previously worked for several clubs in Scotland, has played down the possibility that this meeting could be about the Celtic job.
He said: “Brown met Keane, which is not surprising, as they once played together at Celtic.
“He still has a good relationship with Brown, who became acquainted with Fradi’s football background as a student of the UEFA Pro-license coaching training, which is why he visited Budapest.”
Nevertheless, this has not dispersed the speculation, as Keane remains the favourite to take over in the summer as it stands.
Who are the current favourites for the Celtic job?
Football Insider has exclusively revealed that Celtic have an ambitious plan to appoint Thomas Frank this summer.
As a result, he is also one of the favourites, with one bookmaker pricing a move to Celtic Park at 9/2.
Just in front of him is Motherwell manager Jens Berthel Askou, who has heavily impressed in his first season in Scotland, and recently oversaw a 3-2 victory over Rangers.
Roberto Martinez and O’Neill remain potential outsiders at 7/1 and 11/1, with both managers being linked to the role since Wilfried Nancy’s sacking in January.
However, it remains to be seen who Celtic opt to appoint in the summer, with a rebuild needed if they are going to become the top team in Scotland once more.
