Chelsea predicted to sell two senior stars late in the window after talks revealed - expert
Liam Rosenior is not looking to reintegrate Raheem Sterling or Axel Disasi back into the Chelsea first team.
That is according to ex-Everton, Aston Villa, and Aberdeen chief executive Keith Wyness, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, after it emerged Rosenior was to talk to Sterling and Disasi over their Chelsea futures.
The pair have not played a minute of first team football this season, and Chelsea are looking to offload them in the January window.
Sterling could move to Italian club Napoli, whilst Disasi has been linked with a move to Leeds in order to get regular playing time.
Chelsea need to find ‘solution’ to sell duo
Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – believes Chelsea need to “move on” from both Sterling and Disasi.
Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast, Wyness can’t see a way back for either of them at Stamford Bridge under Rosenior.
He told Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast: “No, I don’t think they will be reintegrated. I just don’t see how that could happen again.
“And I think Rosenior would find it very hard to sell it to the management above at the sort of wages those guys are on. I think they’re going to have to find a solution to get rid. But no, they have got experience, but I think they need something fresh because I think that they’ve been around the place, and it’s stale right now, and they need to move on.
“So I don’t think Rosenior is going to be going there and trying to bring them back into the fold. I just don’t think it would work. They’re not the right type of characters to have in terms of the experience we’re talking about.”

Chelsea making move for new defender
Rosenior is targeting a new centre-back in the January transfer window, but Chelsea will not be pursuing a move for Ibrahima Konate.
The Liverpool defender is currently set to leave Anfield on a free at the end of the season when his contract expires.
Instead, Chelsea are pushing to sign Rennes defender Jeremy Jacquet, who has also been of interest to Liverpool to replace Konate.
