Chris Sutton says Rohl has shot himself in foot at Rangers for no reason, he doesn't understand
Chris Sutton has warned Danny Rohl to stay focused on Rangers, believing his questioning of Celtic’s tactics has horribly backfired at Ibrox.
The Gers boss raised eyebrows after openly quizzing why his side’s arch rivals did not do more to avoid crashing out of the Europa League at the hands of Stuttgart.
Martin O’Neill’s outfit were thumped 4-1 at home in the first leg and, despite making an early breakthrough in the return fixture in Germany, they were unable to claw back the deficit.
That prompted Rohl to wade into the debate by voicing his surprise with the nature of the performance, but Sutton has now accused him of shooting himself in the foot unnecessarily.
Rohl is under pressure at Rangers, and the pundit says his comments will turn up the heat.
