Everton back in for Europa League-winning striker, new bid submitted - report

Youssef En-Nesyri’s proposed move to Everton could be back on the cards.

Time is running out for Everton to do the required business that will see them progress in the second half of the campaign, and at the top of their list of priorities is a new striker.

Jhon Duran is the latest to be linked with a move to the Hill Dickinson Stadium, after murmurs of a move for En-Nsyri seemed to fizzle out.

However, a deal for the latter could be back on the cards with reports from abroad suggesting that the Toffees have now returned with a new bid.

Everton submit new loan-to-buy bid for Youssef En-Nsyri

Thierno Barry has started to find his feet in the Premier League, but that will do little to distract from the clear need for a new number nine to come through the door at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

However, with just days remaining in the winter transfer window, time is running out, and as a result, it seems as though Everton have returned to the table for En-Nesyri.

A report from A Spor states that the Blues have made a loan-to-buy bid for the Moroccan with a £20million option clause at the end of the loan.

The 28-year-old has scored seven goals in the Super Lig for Fenerbahce this term, having scored 30 in all competitions last time out the season after his move from Sevilla, where he won the Europa League.

Everton are set for scrutiny if En-Nesyri transfer goes through

Goals win games, and the Moroccan forward has consistently showcased his ability to score them throughout his career.

However, all of his goals are of a very similar ilk, and they have all required good service into the box, which is something that Everton have struggled to do this season.

En-Nesyri’s playstyle is very similar to several other strikers across Europe, but worryingly, two of those are Barry and Beto.

While it may be a transfer that pays off, it is a huge risk for the Toffees to go out and bring in a third striker with a near-identical playstyle to that of the two they have already struggled to get much out of.

With that said, Everton have been at this stage in a deal for En-Nesyri before, and it remains to be seen if it goes any further this time around.
