Everton can land summer target with sub-£10m bid as bargain update emerges - report

Everton have learned how much Juventus may want to allow Edon Zhegrova to depart the Turin-based club in the summer.

David Moyes’ side’s interest in the Kosovan winger has been largely reported on over the past few weeks. Zhegrova is a player Everton had looked at last summer.

However, the 26-year-old decided to move to Italy rather than Merseyside, but things have not quite worked out for him since.

With his future up in the air, the Toffees look to be standing on alert to his situation, and how much they may have to pay for a transfer to Everton has come out via Italian media.

How much does Juventus want for Edon Zhegrova?

Juventus paid £13.5million in the summer of 2025 to take Zhegrova from Lille to the Serie A. Now, they will be looking to avoid taking a loss on him.

After failing to start a single game for the Turin club so far in the Italian league, Juventus has little room to request a large fee.

Now, according to Calcio Mercato, the Old Lady understands their situation and wants a minimum of €11.4m (£9.8m) for Zhegrova.

While it is lower than the original fee they paid, the amortisation costs on their books mean it would not go down as a capital loss.

Everton will certainly be keeping tabs on the situation in Italy, as the winger is a long-term target at Hill Dickinson.

However, Everton are not the only interested party in Zhegrova, and they may miss out on signing him once again.

Why Zhegrova at that price is a no-brainer for Everton

At the price tag being mooted in Italy, there would ultimately be zero risk for the Blues.

In the winter window, Dwight McNeil looked set to leave for £20m and at half the price, Zhegrova would present a player Moyes has more trust in.

Even if the Kosovan fails to live up to the standards as he has done for Juventus, then a fee around £10m is still extremely good market value for a squad player in the modern age.

It might be a poor season for the 26-year-old, but his 2023-2024 season for Lille, where he picked up 22 goal contributions in all competitions, was not too long ago.

The Hill Dickinson officials have a no-brainer on their hands when it comes to trying to sign Zhegrova once more.
