'Everybody knows...' Expert: Jack Grealish's next steps revealed amid Everton verdict
Everton are planning to move quickly in their efforts to keep Jack Grealish on Merseyside after Premier League rivals joined the race for the Man City star.
The 30-year-old was enjoying a strong season at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, where he made 20 league appearances before undergoing foot surgery.
With the England international now set to miss the remainder of the season, speculation about his future has ramped up, but Everton remain keen to get it done.
Former Man United chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insider that David Moyes is hopeful of brining Grealish back to the club next season.
Any deal will depend on whether a deal can be agreed with Man City, but he is a top target in what looks set to be a busy transfer window for Everton.

Everton backed to agree Jack Grealish return
Football Insider first revealed last month that Premier League clubs will race Everton for Grealish and hope to beat the Toffees to his signature.
However, both the player and the club are believed to be keen on a reunion next season and there is a growing likelihood they will agree terms.
“Everybody knows Jack Grealish isn’t staying at Man City,” Brown told Football Insider.
“There are a lot of clubs in the Premier League who would like to sign a player like Jack Grealish, with everything he brings and all the talent he has.
“The move that makes the most sense for him would be to stay at Everton.
“I can’t see any reason he would want to leave, he was having a really impressive season until this injury came along and he was enjoying life under David Moyes.

“Obviously, he’s still a Man City player and it will be up to them because whoever wants him will have to agree a deal with them.
“But I think he wants to stay at Everton and Everton will want him to stay, so they’ll be making efforts to agree a deal with City to make sure nobody else gets ahead.”
Everton plan to avoid losing key players this summer
Grealish thrived at Everton as part of a dynamic and expressive midfield alongside other star performers including Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Iliman Ndiaye.
The three ball-carriers, all of which ease the pressure on the rest of the side, are seen as crucial parts of Moyes’ ambitious plans for the long-term future.
As a result, Brown told Football Insider on 10 March that Everton will block moves for Ndiaye, despite the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham considering moves.

The 26-year-old has become a key part of Moyes’ side and has scored five goals and provided three assists in 23 Premier League games this season.
His performances have played a crucial role in the Toffees rising to eighth in the table, with European football becoming a serious possibility on Merseyside.
