Ex-Everton CEO predicts 'massive' opportunity at Hill Dickinson, Friedkins will be very happy
Everton have been backed to take advantage of the commercial opportunities available to them at the Hill Dickinson Stadium now.
Keith Wyness insists that the variety of sports and different events coming to the new stadium on Bramley Moore opens the door for the Toffees to cash in.
Scotland take on the Ivory Coast at the Hill Dickinson Stadium on 31 March in the last international break before the World Cup, in a first for the arena.
That follows the Rugby League Ashes and big-brand sponsors, as the Fan Plaza is seen as an area for dramatic commercial improvement.

Everton to take advantage of Hill Dickinson Stadium opportunities
Wyness believes that the Fan Plaza is a “massive” opportunity for Everton, with countless events expected, even outside of the football calendar.
Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, the ex-Everton and Aston Villa CEO was encouraged by recent new sponsorships, but admitted there is plenty more to come around the stadium.

“We’ve got England Rugby coming to the stadium, England are playing Fiji there, we’ve got Scotland versus Ivory Coast coming down, there’s a friendly before the World Cup,” Wyness said.
“They’re starting to get the act together now with different trials of different sports, and that whole revenue coming in now.
“One area I’d just say Budweiser have come in as a sponsor, but they’re also the sponsor of the Fan Plaza. Now this is an area that has been really underutilised right now, but it’s a massive situation in front of the new stadium.
“I really foresee a lot of events happening on that Fan Plaza, whether it be things like St. Patrick’s Day celebrations, all sorts of things outside of the football calendar.
“I think you can have about 10,000 people around the whole Fan Plaza, so it’s going to become a major new space for the City of Liverpool. And there’ll be bands and all sorts of things coming in there as well as in the stadium.

“So there’s a lot to go yet and they’re finding their feet and they’re doing it, but I think looking next two or three years, this is going to be the stadium revolution new driver we always hoped it was going to be and hopefully you know give it’s share back to the squad and on we go but certainly the Friedkins must be very happy with the deal they’ve done right now.
“I think they got lucky getting David Moyes to come in when he did, and he has done a superb job, so all for it, but yes, those sponsorships are a sign of growth for the future, so all very positive.”
Hill Dickinson takes Everton to another level
With the stadium naming deal worth up to £6million-a-year alone, there are other areas that will top that up significantly.
Hill Dickinson Stadium will host England Women’s final World Cup qualifier in June, as well as hosting games in the EURO 2028.

Those alone will add millions onto the revenue line, something that never happened at Goodison Park, as amazing as that venue was in its own right.
Wyness is impressed with the current deals in place, but it’s clear that he foresees it going to a whole other level in the coming years.
