Gabriel Jesus ‘must never play’ for Arsenal again after what he did vs Mansfield Town – fans explode
Arsenal fans did not hold back in their criticism of Gabriel Jesus after Saturday’s performance against Mansfield Town.
The Gunners beat their League One opposition 2-1 to progress to the quarter-final of the FA Cup, with substitute Eberechi Eze firing in the winner.
After a competitive start, Noni Madueke found the breakthrough before the break when he curled into the top corner from just inside the box.
The Premier League leaders were expected to push on, but found themselves level again in the second half when Will Evans capitalised on Cristhian Mosquera’s mistake to score.
Eze’s belting strike just four minutes after coming on secured a fourth consecutive Arsenal win across all competitions.

Gabriel Jesus slammed by Arsenal fans
Jesus returned to action in November, around a year after he had torn his anterior cruciate ligament.
The striker has since made 18 appearances across all competitions, netting in games against Inter Milan, Aston Villa, Leeds United and Wigan Athletic.
But despite showing flashes of the brilliant forward who had made such an impact at Arsenal after his arrival in 2022, the injuries have clearly weighed heavily on Jesus.
The striker looked sluggish against Mansfield on Saturday, often beaten in the duel and missing a chance that had been put on a plate for him by Max Dowman.
Arsenal fans were furious with the performance, with one labelling Jesus’s showing “abysmal” on social media.
Another was even more critical, and bluntly wrote: “Gabriel Jesus must never play for this team again”. With a similar sentiment, other Arsenal fans expressed their wish to see Jesus left out going forward.
One wrote: “Gabriel Jesus is lost against Mansfield. Thank God [Mikel] Arteta has stopped bringing him in serious games”.
The stats behind Jesus’ horror show
Jesus has proved since his return that he could still have something to offer in the final weeks of the season, but his performance on Saturday was not one to remember.
The forward completed just 12 of his 17 attempted passes, and the shot that he had saved by Mansfield goalkeeper Liam Roberts, and subsequently cleared off the line, was his only effort on target.

Jesus was dispossessed three times, committed two fouls, and won just one of his five contested ground duels.
The 28-year-old could well be set to leave Arsenal this summer, and he will not be going out on a high should he continue to produce performances like that.
