Gabriel Sara is a target for Aston Villa ahead of the summer transfer window.

The Galatasaray midfielder has impressed Turkey this season, particularly in the Champions League.

However, his form has not just been noticed by Unai Emery’s side, with numerous clubs across Europe taking an interest.

According to Calciomercato.it on 28 April, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United, Newcastle United and Atletico Madrid are also chasing the Brazilian international.

The latter sees Sara as an alternative to Wolves’ Joao Gomes, which could be key to Aston Villa sealing the signing.

Sara would no doubt be a stunning buy for Aston Villa, and they should easily be able to out-battle Spurs and Newcastle for his signature, especially if the former is relegated.

The true test for them will be Man United and Atletico, with the latter still holding the chance of winning the Champions League this season.

As a result, it could be a tough ask for Villa to beat the Spanish side to Sara’s signature.

Therefore, Unai Emery will be praying that Wolves sell Gomes to the capital club in hopes that it will end their interest in the Galatasaray midfielder.

If the deal between Wolves and Atletico goes through, it could be key for Villa to bring Sara to the club.
