‘He’s an empty jersey’- Rangers fans lambast 27-touch player who lost all his duels vs Hibernian

Rangers fans were left questioning the club’s transfer strategy after a January signing failed to impress against Hibernian.

Danny Rohl’s side headed to Hibs looking to cut the gap back to four points on league leaders Hearts, who had beaten Dundee United a day earlier.

However, the Gers failed to find a breakthrough at Easter Road, meaning Hearts‘ lead at the top of the table remains six points.

It was the first time Rohl’s side had dropped points in the league since Hearts beat Rangers 2-1 back in December.

Andreas Skov Olsen ‘unimpressive’ vs Hibernian

Andreas Skov Olsen joined Rangers on loan from Wolfsburg until the end of the season, and was seen as a statement signing by many at the club.

The 26-year-old was signed amid the likes of Oliver Antman and Djeidi Gassama having failed to make an impact in their debut seasons at Ibrox.

Skov Olsen had only made 10 appearances this season before moving to Glasgow, and that lack of game time may have been a reason behind his slow start in a Rangers jersey.

The winger was substituted with 20 minutes remaining at Easter Road, having had just 27 touches and one shot and having won zero aerial duels.

Rangers fans want to see more impact from Skov Olsen in the coming weeks, with Rohl now needing his players to step up after dropping two points on the road.

Rangers target new striker before window closes

Rangers fans have been left fuming that Cameron Archer could join the club before the January window shuts.

Many Gers fans believe the 24-year-old would be a panic buy from the club in a bid to win the Scottish Premiership title this season.

Archer has netted just twice in the Championship this campaign, and has not registered an assist, with Southampton lying in the bottom half of the table.

It is clear that Rohl wants to add a striker to his squad, with Rangers having made a bid for Hansa Rostock striker Ryan Naderi.

The likes of Youssef Chermiti and Danilo have both had poor seasons, with their futures unclear at Ibrox, and Rohl wanting to add extra firepower to his ranks.
