'Huge statement' - Barry Ferguson expects one thing to happen at Rangers before end of Jan
Rangers may have no intention of stopping after completing the signing of Andreas Skov Olsen from VfL Wolfsburg.
Skov Olsen will move to Ibrox on loan, and the deal includes an option to buy the Danish winger for around £8.5million in the summer.
Tuur Rommens’ signing has also been announced in Govan, while Tochi Chukwuani is already training with the Light Blues’ first team.
There’s still plenty of time left until Deadline Day on 2 February, and the Glaswegian outfit could potentially have more up their sleeves.
Barry Ferguson expects transfer activity to continue at Rangers
Barry Ferguson doesn’t anticipate business at the Gers ending anytime soon in the winter transfer window.
The Light Blues’ former interim manager seems confident there will be more incomings at Ibrox in the coming weeks, following the recent additions.
There is also the matter of trimming that squad at the Glaswegian outfit, with multiple players evidently surplus to requirements, and the Givan side are certainly gearing up for a busy period.
Writing in the Daily Record on 15 January, Ferguson said, “I wouldn’t be surprised to see more additions coming in through the door before the month is up, and that would be a huge statement of intent.”

Danilo and Nedim Bajrami have been transfer-listed at Ibrox, with Kieran Dowell, Rabbi Matondo, Joe Rothwell and Clinton Nsiala also linked with exits.
Despite the recent additions, Danny Rohl could surely do with a bit more quality in his squad, but it remains to be seen how the situation in G51 unfolds.
Danny Rohl already has next target at Ibrox
Rangers are following DAC Dunajska Streda winger Damir Redzic, with the Hungary international in demand right now.
The 22-year-old has been impressive in the Nike Liga for the Slovakian club, scoring seven goals in 14 appearances this season.
It feels like there’s an emphasis to add more quality out wide at the Light Blues, which isn’t surprising considering Oliver Antman’s struggles and the fact that Mikey Moore will return to Tottenham at the end of the season.
Exciting times are undoubtedly ahead for fans at Ibrox who have been waiting for competence to return in the boardroom.
