Ibrox View: 49ers will surely be devastated as Celtic agree personal terms with Rangers target
Rangers have had the better of Celtic in the transfer window so far.
Danny Rohl‘s side have brought in three new players already, while Martin O’Neill‘s team have struggled to bring in reinforcements to get their Scottish Premiership title bid back on track.
Celtic made an audacious approach to sign Joel Piroe, from the 49ers Enterprises group’s other club Leeds United, which was quickly rejected.
However, they may finally be set to seal an attacking transfer, to the dismay of their Glasgow rivals.

Celtic take the lead over Rangers in Tomas Cvancara chase
Rangers were linked with Borussia Monchengladbach forward Tomas Cvancara on 20 January, but it appears that the Hoops are set to sign the striker.
German journalist Florian Plettenberg claimed later that evening that O’Neill’s side are now in advanced negotiations for the 25-year-old Czech Republic international.
He stated that the striker has already agreed personal terms with the Parkhead side, and a loan-to-buy deal is on the cards.
Why the 49ers will be devastated by latest Celtic move
Obviously, the fact that the Gers were in for Cvancara and their arch-enemies have beaten them to the punch will sting enough as it is.
However, it is an even bigger blow because the ownership blocked Piroe’s move to dent their title charge, and now they have found an alternative.
If Cvancara goes on to be the difference maker, then it will prove to be a huge loss to the Light Blues, that they could not beat their rivals to his signature.
