Ibrox View: Disfavoured Rangers star will fear Ibrox exit after latest transfer developments

Oliver Antman could be heading out the exit door at Rangers after recent links with breakthrough Motherwell star, Elijah Just.

The Finnish attacker only joined the Bears last summer, and there were high expectations of him after his performances in the Eredivisie.

The winger contributed to 24 goals over 39 appearances across all competitions for Go Ahead Eagles, but that level of output has not translated into the Scottish Premiership.

Antman has failed to adapt to Scotland so far, and with Rangers looking to add another winger in the summer, that could spell bad news for the Finland international.

🚨 RANGERS TRANSFER UPDATE 🚨

The latest breaking news on signings, departures, and Danny Röhl’s primary targets.

The worrying Oliver Antman numbers that signal Ibrox spell is up

Antman has been far from impressive for Rangers since his move to Ibrox in the summer, and recent decisions by Rohl showcase the forward’s standing in his pecking order.

Over the Gers’ last 10 outings, the winger has featured just four times after injury, accumulating only 146 minutes of game time, as 90 of that total came against second-tier side Queen’s Park.

So it certainly seems that Antman has fallen drastically out of Rohl’s plans, with the other wide options in G51 preferred.

Now, with Rangers monitoring a move for Just, that may cement the 24-year-old’s future away from Glasgow.

With his lack of game time this campaign, the Bears and the winger could now look to part ways in the summer window.

How much could Rangers get for Antman?

The 49ers will likely be looking to recoup as much of the £3.5million fee they paid to bring the winger to Ibrox.

While he has struggled this campaign, one poor season may not put off other possible destinations from signing him, as many sides across Europe could just see it was a bad fit for Antman.

It was just last campaign when Antman secured the playmaker award in the Eredivisie, and with his current deal lasting until 2029, there is definitely leverage for the Rangers owners.

According to Transfermarkt, the Finnish international’s current market value is only slightly below what the Glasgow club paid at £3.45m.

A move back to the Netherlands to recapture his form could be on the cards, as Feyenoord had chased the Rangers forward in the winter window.

It remains to be seen what the future holds, but as things stand, an exit would be the least surprising option for Antman.
