Ibrox View: Rangers-linked Dundee United star passed transfer audition for Rohl at Ibrox today
Lucas Stephenson has been linked with a move to Rangers and played the full game as his Dundee United side lost 4-2 at Ibrox this Saturday
The Bears could be in the market for a new right-back this summer, and the on-loan Liverpool star is someone who seems like a realistic target for the 49ers.
Stephenson’s side were beaten fairly on the day, and Rangers’ 68 per cent possession from the match suggests why.
The Gers have put themselves top of the Scottish Premiership with the victory, while Dundee United have remained in seventh position.
Stephenson may have been trying to impress Danny Rohl during the game, and the Rangers boss was most likely left with food for thought from the match.

These stats prove Luca Stephenson passed test vs Rangers
Charlie Mulgrew has tipped Rangers to sign Stephenson at some point in the future, with the right-wing back destined for a Liverpool return this summer.
However, with the defender now 22-years-old, he’ll most likely be looking for a new place to call his permanent home in the summer, with a Liverpool breakthrough unlikely.
Area of game Stats Games played 29 Goals 5 Assists 5 Defensive contributions per 90 5.68 FotMob rating 7.07
Stephenson picked up a 7.3 FotMob match rating against Rangers, which was largely representative of his own side’s overall ability to keep the ball out of the back of the net.
He completed 100 per cent of his dribbles at Ibrox, while also showing his defensive abilities by winning 67 per cent of his aerial duels.
Stephenson grabbed the assist for Dundee United’s second goal of the match, providing a wonderful cross for substitute Zachary Sapsford to slide onto and tap into the net.
But on the eye, he was fearless while bombing down the right flank, something that Rohl may feel his side have missed in certain games this season.
Time will tell, but Stephenson put on a top performance ahead of a possible move to Ibrox.
Stephenson was good, but Dujon Sterling may have changed Ibrox minds
Stephenson is enjoying a second loan spell at Dundee United and was sent back to the Terrors after a successful stint with them last season.
He only seems to have built on his performances, and as he signed a new long-term contract with Liverpool last summer, he could cost a pretty penny.
Dujon Sterling scored against Dundee United, in what was probably one of the right-back’s best performances of the season.
The Englishman showed the ability to carry the ball with pace and power once again, as his goal may cement his place at Rangers beyond this season.
If that were to be the case, Gers would be unlikely to go in for Stephenson, who will want a first-team spot, should he depart from Anfield.
