Ibrox View: Rangers star's latest admission should have teammate fearing the worst
Tochi Chuwuani’s latest admission about Rangers should leave Conor Barron fearing the worst at Ibrox.
Danny Rohl‘s side added the Dane in the winter transfer window, and he has hit the ground running in Govan.
The 23-year-old has not needed a transitional period in Govan, and has slotted right into the engine room for the Light Blues alongside Nicolas Raskin.
Barron has not long returned from the injury which had kept him out since January, and he may find it hard to get back into the side.
Rangers are fighting for the Scottish Premiership title, and the Scottish midfielder faces a tough task to get back into the side.

What did Chukwuani say about Rangers competition?
Chukwuani has emerged as one of Rangers’ key players already, and his words show that he is relishing the competition for places.
He is clearly aware that he has to be at his very best to stay in Rohl’s side, which could spell trouble for Barron.
Speaking in quotes reported by the Daily Record, he said: “I think that’s fantastic, as the coach said we have four starters, four very good midfielders in the middle of the park, and I think that’s just fantastic.
Chukwuani’s stats so far Scottish Premiership Matches 8 Goals 1 Assists 0 Pass accuracy 83% Key passes per game 0.1 Interceptions per game 0.5 Tackles per game 2 Balls recovered per game 3.9 Clearances per game 0.9
“Training with each other, pushing each other to do the best, and try to be the best version of ourselves, because that can only help the team.
“I think I’ve definitely brought some of my physicality into the game, and my power in the midfield.
“That’s been a nice mix, especially in the style of how Scottish football is, with intensity and physicality.”
Why that admission spells danger for Barron
Barron has already found it challenging to get into the team, making just 21 appearances in the league this season.
The fact that Chukwuani recognises that he needs to be on top of his game, and loves the idea of not being guaranteed a place in the starting line-up, means that he will keep performing at the highest level in the pursuit of the title.
That means that the 23-year-old will surely struggle to find himself back in Rohl’s plans and will have to settle for a place on the substitutes bench.

Things can change very quickly, but right now, it seems as though Barron faces the toughest time of his career with the Bears so far, and how he responds may define his time in G51.
If he can prove himself to the German manager by making an impact off the bench when replacing either Chukwuani or Raskin, he stands a better chance of earning a starting berth in the future.
The former Sturm Graz man will not be giving up his place in the team without a fight, though, that is for sure.
