Ibrox View: Rohl's injury problems just got worse as Rangers fan fave misses squad vs Dundee Utd
Rangers‘ starting lineup to play Dundee United has been announced, and there is no sign of Tuur Rommens in the squad.
The Bears host Dundee United at Ibrox this Saturday in an all-important Scottish Premiership showdown which could leave them top of the league.
Hearts play away to Livingston on Sunday, which poses a chance for Gers to put pressure on the league leaders with three points from this encounter.
However, Danny Rohl admitted he had a “bigger issue” regarding one player’s fitness in his pre-match press conference earlier in the week, leaving supporters guessing who the player could be.
Tuur Rommens appears to be the injured player, and it could be a setback that really harms Rangers in their push for the title.

Tuur Rommens not in squad vs Dundee United
Rangers will have been happy to see Celtic’s injury woes before this weekend’s round of Scottish Premiership matches, but now they have their own to focus on.
Jayden Meghoma played an important role for the Bears before Rommes’ arrival, and Rohl will be hoping the on-loan Brentford star can showcase his best game.
Area of game Stats Matches (starts) 6 (5) Goal involvements 2 Duel win rate 59.2% Interceptions per 90 1.77 Average FotMob rating 7.53
Rommens’ brilliance has been on display from the moment he arrived at Ibrox, winning over the love of fans, with his impressive stats seen in the table above.
As revealed on Rangers’ official X account, Rommens is not in the squad, with further updates on the left-back to come in due course.
Time will tell if this will be a major blow for the Bears, but the Belgian’s excellence has already been proven in Glasgow, so he will certainly be missed.
Rohl already has other injury issues to deal with, so this is far from ideal.
Dundee United’s biggest strength will worry Danny Rohl
Three points is a must if Rohl is to get Gers fans back believing that winning the title is possible, as anything but a win would be advantage Hearts.
Not to forget Celtic also play this weekend, and a win for the Hoops could also help them leapfrog Rohl’s side.
One of the biggest strengths that Dundee have is their defensive capabilities, with the Terrors expected to come to Ibrox and set up a solid block.
The visitors lead the way for most interceptions in the league per match, with a rate of 10.8, and the same goes for clearances at 37.9 per 90 minutes.
Surprisingly, they have a midtable-esque defensive record in terms of goals against, having conceded 48 times this season, but their style is something Rohl has struggled against before since his arrival. Let’s hope it’s not an issue for the Bears.
