Jamie O'Hara names area Everton are now outdoing Liverpool as Moyes hailed
Everton are currently playing much better football than Liverpool this season.
That is the verdict of pundit Jamie O’Hara, who has been blown away by the standard of performances under David Moyes and the club’s surprise European charge.
Tuesday’s 2-0 victory against Burnley moved the Toffees within one point of seventh-placed Brentford, a spot likely to be at least good enough for the Conference League.
Moyes has deservedly earned plenty of plaudits as a result, while O’Hara believes the blue half of Merseyside are putting on more of a show than their noisy neighbours.

Jamie O’Hara drops glowing Everton verdict
Goals from James Tarkowski and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall wrapped up a night to remember for Everton, and saw them clinch their first win at home in almost three months.
It was a near-faultless display at Hill Dickinson Stadium, and the fact that the gap on Liverpool was reduced to only five points was a bonus.
Arne Slot’s reigning champions collapsed to a shock 2-1 defeat by basement side Wolves on Tuesday, leading O’Hara to make an eye-opening comparison.
Speaking on talkSPORT, he said: “Arne Slot is giving it about set pieces this week, but they’re right up there with the most boring teams in the league themselves.
“Elsewhere, Everton, they’re flying. They play better football than Liverpool.
“They are playing the best football I’ve seen in a while.”
O’Hara perhaps went a little overboard with his verdict, but there is no doubt that Everton are currently on the up, while Liverpool are glancing nervously over their shoulder.

Could Everton finish in the top five?
With English clubs once again dominating across UEFA’s multiple European competitions this season, fifth place is all but certain to guarantee Champions League qualification.
That has somewhat opened the door for Everton to have a crack at the likes of Brentford and Chelsea, and Steven Gerrard says their form will be worrying the big boys.
“Yeah, really good [season]. David Moyes has been brilliant for Everton,” said Gerrard on TNT Sports.
“They’ve done really well, I’m sure they’re going to sneak into the back door for those European places.
“We know he [Moyes] likes the Conference League. He’s done it before, so I think they are going to put the pressure on the likes of Liverpool, Chelsea and Brentford.”
All Everton can do is keep winning matches and hoping those above them inevitably stumble, but for now, Moyes and his players are certainly exceeding every expectation.
Long may it continue.
