Keith Jackson says it is not 'unrealistic' for Rangers to receive record fee for Ibrox fan fave
Rangers did well to keep Nicolas Raskin at Ibrox last summer amid a rift with Russell Martin threatening his future.
However, in the end, the Gers were able to keep the midfielder at Ibrox, and under Danny Rohl, that has turned out to be a wise decision.
The Belgian international has been key for the Glasgow outfit as they chase a 56th Scottish Premiership title.
It is a position many would not have expected earlier in the season. The performances of the 25-year-old will no doubt be catching the eyes of various European sides.
Additionally, with Raskin likely to head to the World Cup with Belgium, a Rangers exit could bring in quite the fee this summer as there is doubt over whether he will remain next season.
🚨 RANGERS TRANSFER UPDATE 🚨
The latest breaking news on signings, departures, and Danny Röhl’s primary targets.
What has been said about a Nicolas Raskin Rangers exit?
Raskin’s performances on the pitch were always going to cast eyes on him for the transfer window. However, that may land in Rangers’ way sooner than expected.
Ahead of the summer window, there have been doubts cast on whether the fan favourite will be part of Rohl’s setup next season.

Speaking on Hotline Live, journalist Andy Newport, stated: “As for Nicolas Raskin, I am not entirely convinced he will be here after this summer.”
Meanwhile, Keith Jackson believes the Bears could fetch as much as £20million for their star midfielder.
He said: “I don’t think that is an unrealistic number [£20m] for Nico Raskin when you consider he has not just made himself a regular starter in that Belgian side but a real lynchpin for that Belgian side.”

The fee mentioned has come from former Rangers midfielder Charlie Adam, suggesting that is how much Raskin is worth.
It seems Adam was not far off, as Jackson stated: “I don’t think he will sign a new contract, so you just let him go to the World Cup, and you hope he has a really strong tournament and his value will just soar.
“If you gave him a new contract, I would give him the armband now, but I think that is unlikely now. I think the number involved, I would imagine Charlie Adam is not far off saying upwards of £20m.”
Raskin’s current deal is set to end in 2028, but the Bears do retain an option to extend for one year.
Overall, the Ibrox side will not be desperate to bring in money for Raskin, but they could be tempted by those fees mentioned.

Where would Nicolas Raskin rate among Rangers’ most expensive sales?
If Raskin is sold at the price mentioned by Jackson, then the Belgian would exit as the Gers’ most expensive departure.
Currently that title is held by Calvin Bassey, who left for £19.6m in the summer of 2022.
While Raskin has been an important asset for Rohl’s side and Rangers over the years, that level of fee would be hard for the Ibrox outfit to reject.
In the event that the Belgian international is sold, the Bears may already have a replacement lined up.
Jens Hjerto-Dahl could be Rangers’ solution for a midfield signing ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window.
