Keith Jackson wants SFA to make one potential threat to curb Rangers & Celtic chaos
Keith Jackson wants to see the Scottish FA threaten Rangers and Celtic with points deduction after what was seen in the Scottish Gas Scottish Cup quarter-final.
The Daily Record journalist wants to see the authorities at Hampden Park take a tough stance to curb supporters from repeating the chaotic scenes seen at Ibrox on 8 March.
After Tomas Cvancara scored the winning penalty, both sets of fans came onto the pitch, subsequently leading to ugly scenes in Govan.
The SFA should respond to the Old Firm chaos and, to curb such actions, may need to propose a punishment that makes fans think twice before repeating them.

Rangers and Celtic fans ensure one thing after Old Firm scenes
It was the first time in a while that Celtic fans were allocated 7,500 seats at Ibrox, but that may be the last time that happens.
Old Firm away ticket allocations have been sanctioned in recent years, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see the next game between the two Glaswegian clubs not have any away supporters.
There could potentially be other ramifications for both sides, with the SFA certainly thinking of fines after fans invaded Ibrox.
While fans are responsible for the atmosphere inside stadiums, they surely can’t cross the line and be violent towards players and the management.

Writing in the Daily Record on 10 March, Jackson said, “And for as long as the rest of us are prepared to turn a blind eye to their increasing levels of depravity, so we become complicit. Which is why the authorities on the sixth floor at Hampden Park should use the events of Sunday to draw a line in the sand and come up with a strict code of conduct which carries the threat of potential point deductions.
“If these young dolts are not afraid of breaking the law of the land, then maybe they’ll have cause to think again when they’re being policed by their own supporters – grown adults who tend to display low levels of tolerance when it comes to seeing their team’s league position being damaged or endangered.”
Andrew Cavenagh must have second thoughts after Ibrox disorder
Andrew Cavenagh and 49ers Enterprises took over the Gers last summer, with ambitions of bringing success back to Ibrox.
The American ownership in G51 got off to a chaotic start with Kevin Thelwell as sporting director and Russell Martin as manager.

Since then, the new owners have certainly learnt from their mistakes, with Danny Rohl and the restructured backroom staff bringing stability back to Govan.
Despite the recent upturn in form, Cavenagh and the 49ers have another headache with fan behaviour, and they may be having second thoughts about buying shares in the Glaswegian outfit.
