Leeds United face Jack Harrison nightmare as ‘irrelevant’ claim shared
Leeds United could be about to face the nightmare scenario of Jack Harrison returning from Fiorentina at the end of the season.
The winger made the move to join La Viola on loan during the recent January transfer window, with the Serie A outfit agreeing to a clause giving them the option to turn the move permanent as part of the deal.
Leeds fans share a difficult relationship with Harrison and were delighted to see him head out on loan once again, and they would have been hopeful that they had seen the back of him for good this time around.
However, Fiorentina’s desire to sign the 29-year-old permanently has now been cast into major doubt following recent events in Italy, whilst in turn potentially altering Leeds’ transfer plans for the summer.

Fiorentina fans have already had enough of Jack Harrison
A dismal first half of the campaign has left Fiorentina facing a very real threat of relegation into Serie B for next term, despite them qualifying for UEFA Conference League football last season.
Paolo Vanoli’s side are currently outside the relegation zone on goal difference alone with 11 league games left to play, and their top-flight status still hangs in the balance.

Harrison was one of the players they signed in January to come in and help propel them up the table and away from the drop zone, but it hasn’t played out like that so far.
The Leeds loanee has made just five league appearances since completing the switch, and is still waiting for his first goal in the famous purple shirt.
His performances have already prompted frustration from Fiorentina fans, with journalist Ricardo Trevisani recently labelling him as an “irrelevant player,” according to Viola News.

That growing feeling looks set to cast major doubt over the idea of a permanent move to Italy for Harrison, potentially leaving Leeds with the worst possible outcome to deal with ahead of next season.
Leeds would likely face difficult selling Harrison
Leeds fans were ecstatic when Harrison left in January, but that could quickly come back to bite them if his form out on loan doesn’t drastically improve.
The Whites have had serious difficulty in trying to offload the former Manchester City man in recent years, and their efforts to sell him have only previously amounted to a pair of loan deals.
He remains under contract at Elland Road until the summer of 2028, meaning that Leeds would inevitably be left in the same position of trying to find a suitor for him this summer.
However, his lack of end product across both of his clubs this season is highly unlikely to have attracted any interest, meaning Leeds could even face the nightmare scenario of him being stuck on their books for another season.
