Leeds United should look to give Joel Piroe a start in their upcoming clash against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday.

The match is a massive game for Daniel Farke’s side, as they could all but secure survival with a victory.

Monday’s 2-1 win over Manchester United has seen the club go six points clear of Tottenham Hotspur in 18^th, and this could be extended to nine points by the end of the game week.

However, while many players at Old Trafford were fantastic, Dominic Calvert-Lewin left much to be desired as he missed several fantastic opportunities.

As a result, Farke must take a gamble on Piroe for Leeds’ vital clash against Wolves.

Joel Piroe needs to start in Leeds United vs Wolves

Piroe has had a tough time at Leeds since their promotion to the Premier League.

Despite being a vital player last season, scoring 19 goals, he soon found himself benched for Dominic Calvert-Lewin, with the majority of his appearances coming from the bench.

However, with the England international now struggling for form, now is the perfect chance to give Piroe a start.

While the game is no doubt a must-win, Wolves are a poor side and could have their relegation confirmed on the weekend.

Therefore, given their leaky backline, there is every chance Piroe will have a decent chance to end his goalless streak on the weekend.

The long-term implications of him getting a goal are massive as well. It is looking increasingly likely that he will be sold in the upcoming summer transfer window as Leeds target another striker.

As a result, if Piroe can net against Wolves, his price tag could increase as well.

Where could Piroe move to in the summer?

Ex-Aberdeen, Aston Villa, and Everton chief executive Keith Wyness exclusively told Football Insider that Piroe could move to Rangers in the summer.

The striker has been linked with a move to Ibrox in the past, with the club having attacking troubles.

Given that both teams are linked by the 49ers, it could be a relatively simple transaction if it went ahead.

However, it remains to be seen if Farke would be willing to let Piroe go in the summer, especially if he hits form in the remaining matches of this season.
