Luca Williams-Barnett reacts as Tottenham agree deal with West Ham

Luca Williams-Barnett is one of the brightest prospects to come through the Tottenham academy in recent years.

Williams-Barnett signed a professional deal at Tottenham in October to reflect his status as a massive talent in North London.

The 17-year-old made his debut earlier in the campaign as Tottenham secured victory over Doncaster Rovers in the Carabao Cup.

The midfielder hasn’t featured since but has made multiple matchday squads, including Tottenham’s recent draw away to Burnley in the Premier League.

Williams-Barnett has now taken to social media to react to the latest transfer activity after a January deal with West Ham was confirmed.

The teenager may be seen as one for the future, but that won’t stop the Lilywhites from improving their academy side elsewhere.

There has been plenty of transfer speculation surrounding many youth stars, with Damola Ajayi returning from Doncaster Rovers due to interest elsewhere.

Outgoings aren’t the only thing on the cards in N17, with a deal now confirmed to improve the situation down Hotspur Way.

Spurs confirmed the signing of Elisha Sowunmi on Friday, with a deal agreed for the West Ham talent to switch the East End for North London.

The deal has seemingly gone down well with Williams-Barnett, who has taken to Instagram to like the announcement post from Tottenham.

Former N17 academy ace Jaden Williams also liked the announcement, with current under-21 ace James Rowswell also joining the party.

Who is Tottenham academy signing Elisha Sowunmi?

The Lilywhites have agreed a deal to improve their own fortunes, while spiting a London rival in the process.

Sowunmi has completed the move after spending 10 years with the London Stadium club, where he featured across every age group.

The new signing is 18 years old and has the ability to feature as a winger or as a number 10, while also having an eye for goal.

He was West Ham’s top goalscorer at under-18 level last campaign as the Hammers secured victory in the U18 Premier League Cup.

Tottenham have now confirmed the attacker will join the under-21s squad in North London and could feature immediately after being named as eligible for Friday’s Premier League 2 clash against Everton.
