David Moyes is eagerly awaiting Everton’s transfer window to burst into life.

With no new signings through the door at the halfway stage of the window, Everton fans are becoming frustrated with Dan Friedkin.

Harrison Armstrong has been recalled to Hill Dickinson Stadium following his loan spell with Preston, but that’s the extent of Everton‘s transfer business so far this month.

Further outgoings are expected, with Beto looking destined to leave before the window shuts, whilst Everton are also pushing to sign Youssef En-Nesyri from Fenerbahce.

Everton waiting on EFL green light to sanction exit

As the 2 February transfer deadline moves ever closer, clubs such as Everton will surely start to sanction more exits for players as they finalise their first-team squad lists for the rest of the season.

Harry Tyrer is expected to leave Everton permanently, with the 24-year-old goalkeeper having undergone a medical with League One promotion-chasing Cardiff City.

However, Cardiff are currently under a transfer embargo after failing to submit their accounts by the set deadline, but there is confidence in the Welsh capital that this will be lifted this week.

And, as quoted in an article by Wales Online, Bluebirds manager Brian Barry-Murphy has made no secret of his desire to sign a new goalkeeper ASAP, all but confirming that Tyrer is a player they want.

“We need a goalkeeper, definitely,” he said. “We want a goalkeeper straight away.”

Harry Tyrer may get starting opportunities based on Barry-Murphy’s words

Cardiff boss Barry-Murphy is evidently desperate to add a new pair of hands to his goalkeeping department, which is being stretched to the limit at the moment.

The Bluebirds – who are currently top of League One – have just two senior shot-stoppers on their books in Nathan Trott and Matthew Turner respectively, the former being on loan.

• Tyrer has yet to make a first-team appearance for Everton
• He played 42 times for Blackpool whilst on loan there last season
• He’s also spent time on loan with Chesterfield and Chester FC respectively

However, Trott has been performing well in the Cardiff goal this term, so it would be surprising if Barry-Murphy was targeting Tyrer with the vision of the Everton youngster ousting him as number one.

Beyond this season, however, there is every chance Tyrer could be the Bluebirds’ number one when Trott returns to parent club FC Copenhagen, making this move all the more enticing.
