Marc Guehi’s secret transfer meeting revealed as new twist emerges over Crystal Palace exit
Bayern Munich are attempting to fly under the radar to secure an agreement with Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi.
Football Insider revealed that Crystal Palace would sell Guehi for the right price this month, although the England international is in total control of his future.
Manchester City are the only club willing to bid for the defender in January, as they attempt to deal with an injury crisis at the back.
Liverpool will look to sign Guehi in the summer, after they came incredibly close to signing the 25-year-old in the summer.
Arsenal have entered the race for Guehi, too, in recent days, but the Gunners would also be looking to sign him on a free transfer.

Bayern Munich ramping up Marc Guehi chase
There are plenty of reasons why Guehi would like the idea of a potential move to German champions Bayern.
For one, the defender would find familiar faces there. Former Eagle Michael Olise made the switch in 2024, and has absolutely thrived.

The 24-year-old is now widely considered among the best players in Europe, and the same is true of Guehi’s England captain, Harry Kane.
Then there is the coach. There were doubts surrounding Vincent Kompany when he was appointed from Burnley, but the Belgian has turned Bayern into a monstrous force.
And of course, his position among the Premier League‘s best-ever defenders makes him a perfect coach for a centre-back still hoping to develop.
Sky Germany reported on Tuesday that Bayern sporting director Max Eberl has been making calls in recent days, in an attempt to convince Guehi to move to Germany.

A few weeks ago, there was a meeting between Eberl and Guehi’s agent at Bayern’s training ground.
The Bundesliga champions have an advantage over the Premier League clubs interested, as they, as a foreign club, can negotiate a pre-contract agreement with the defender.
What Guehi has said about his future
Guehi appears to have the pick of every club in Europe this summer, but the defender is keen to keep his feet on the ground.
Palace have struggled in recent weeks, and the England international will, first of all, be focused on helping to turn that around.
“Whether it’s sorted or not, it doesn’t matter for me,” Guehi said in October. “Personally, I don’t know if I can think that far ahead.
“I like to just take it step by step, and that is just focusing on the games that I have at Palace and any upcoming opportunities I have here.”
