New Premier League club emerges as favourite to sign Troy Parrott after AZ Alkmaar latest
Leeds have been installed as the favourite among Premier League sides to be Troy Parrott’s next club by a leading UK bookmaker.
Parrott‘s career has burst into life over the last 12 months after some impressive developments at both club and international level.
The Irish striker failed to ever fully break into the first-team picture at Tottenham during his seven-year spell at the club, which ended when he permanently joined AZ Alkmaar in July 2024.
He notched 20 times in 47 appearances in all competitions in his maiden campaign with the Dutch club, and Football Insider recently revealed that Parrott is wanted by Premier League sides after he fired the Republic of Ireland to the World Cup playoffs in November.
West Ham were the previous frontrunners to sign Parrott, but Leeds could now be set to seal his services as they aim to add firepower to Daniel Farke‘s ranks.

Leeds are 5/1 favourites among Premier League sides to sign Troy Parrott
Reports of Leeds’ interest in Parrott emerged back in November, just days after he had netted a historic hat-trick against Hungary to send Ireland to the 2026 World Cup playoffs.
He has notched an impressive 20 goals in 27 appearances in all competitions for Alkmaar this season, with his latest strike coming on Wednesday night in a 1-1 draw against Excelsior.
With rumours around his future rife as the January window nears its conclusion, a leading UK bookmaker has priced Leeds as the frontrunner ahead of any other Premier League team to be Parrott’s next club.
The Whites are 5/1 odds to be the 23-year-old’s club on 3 February, but he is still 7/20 odds to stay with AZ for the remainder of the campaign.
Which other clubs are in the mix to sign Parrott this month?
West Ham remain in the mix to seal a deal for the Irish striker soon, and they are the second-favourite among Premier League sides, at odds of 13/2, to do so, but are behind Bundesliga club Stuttgart, who are priced at 9/2.
Celtic are also interested in signing Parrott before the upcoming transfer deadline, and the same bookmaker has them as the third-favourite to be his next club, at odds of 17/2.

Everton are in the market for a new centre-forward, with odds of 15/2 to sign Parrott this month, while Wolves and Fulham are also believed to be keeping tabs on his services at respective odds of 14/1 and 16/1.
Leeds will fancy their chances of landing the 23-year-old before the 2 February deadline passes, but they clearly face some strong competition, and will need to convince him that he will have ample game time ahead of the in-form Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
