Nuno Espirito Santo to blame West Ham flop for immediate sack after what happened vs Wolves

Nuno Espirito Santo has absolutely nowhere to hide after West Ham were annihilated by Wolves at Molineux Stadium.

Wolves are favourites to be relegated, having gone into the game on Saturday, 3 January, with just three points to their name, but hopes of survival were boosted when claiming their first win of the campaign.

At the other end of the table, Chelsea have sacked Enzo Maresca due to differences behind the scenes, and Nuno could be next, with the Hammers circling the drain in the Premier League table.

Mick Brown had already revealed to Football Insider that West Ham were considering Slaven Bilic as their next manager, and his arrival could be imminent after defeat against bottom of the league.

West Ham hit rock bottom with defeat to Wolves

A Premier League manager has never been sacked by two different teams in the same season, but David Sullivan and Karren Brady could make history after losing 3-0 at Molineux.

Championship football looks like an ever-growing possibility at the London Stadium, and that will be why supporters are more inclined to protest against the owners’ decisions this season.

There was just a total lack of energy, determination, and grit in the opening 41 minutes, seeing them go three goals behind before the half-time whistle, and there were some very guilty parties.

Freddie Potts was hooked during the break, while Max Kilman made an error in the lead-up to a Wolves penalty, but the real poison in the Hammers’ lineup was Soungoutou Magassa.

Soungoutou Magassa decision hands Wolves three points

The 22-year-old Frenchman gave away a spot-kick in the first half, while also getting spun in the middle of the park before the opening goal, and jogging back into position.

While there was a lot of hope surrounding his arrival during the summer, the young midfielder has ultimately turned out to be a disappointment, and Nuno will be pointing the finger of blame at him.

Taking him off at half-time was definitely the right decision, but looking at social media, fans were adamant that Nuno never should have started him in the first place for such a must-win game.

Should he be sacked, Nuno will have a lot of regrets from his very short spell in East London, and putting so much trust in Magassa could be one of them. He only has himself to blame, however.
