Rangers star Dujon Sterling reacts on social media as transfer confirmed away from Ibrox

Rangers have certainly been busy in the transfer market this winter.

Danny Rohl has already brought in three January signings, with Andreas Skov Olsen the latest to join Rangers in a loan switch from Wolfsburg.

The Dane has joined Tuur Rommens and Tochi Chukwuani in a move to Rangers as the Ibrox club looks to improve across the rest of the season.

Those incomings may require sales to drive up funds, with Nico Raskin linked with a Rangers departure with less than two weeks remaining in the window.

Moves have certainly been made away from Govan, with Dujon Sterling taking to social media after the latest deal in the Premier League.

Sterling has been plagued with injuries at Rangers, but has always been a useful operator when available for the Light Blues.

The backline has arguably been worse without the Englishman available over the years, although Rohl has hardly had a chance to utilise his services.

Dujon Sterling’s stats in all competitions

The 26-year-old has featured just five times in the Scottish Premiership this campaign, but has remained active on social media.

He made a hilarious post after Rangers secured victory over Celtic in the most recent Old Firm, and has now reacted after Marc Guehi left Crystal Palace.

The England international shared a post to Instagram on Monday after his move to Manchester City was confirmed.

It featured a message reading, “Proud. Let’s go Man City. Thank you always to Jesus.

The post was liked by Sterling as he reacted to the defender’s move alongside the likes of Dominic Solanke, Anthony Gordon and former Rangers man Calvin Bassey.

Rangers and Sterling could soon face Guehi

A £20million move to Man City for Guehi has been viewed as a bargain by many, as his contract ticked down towards its expiry at Selhurst Park.

The centre-back could be the man to inspire Pep Guardiola’s side to the Premier League title, with Champions League qualification almost certain already.

Rohl and the Gers will share similar high ambitions for the rest of the campaign as they prepare to joust with Hearts and Celtic at the top of the table.

Scottish Premiership table

If Rangers can qualify for the Champions League either automatically or through the qualifiers, themselves and Sterling could set up a meeting with City and Guehi, depending on the draw.

Scottish sides have regularly faced off against English outfits in European competition over recent years, so it could happen once again next campaign.
