Rangers submit improved bid for striker, club respond immediately - report
Ryan Naderi is the striker that Rangers have set their sights on to address their attacking concerns.
Rangers have been very active in January so far, with the likes of Tochi Chukwuani, Tuur Rommens and Andreas Skov Olsen having all already completed moves to Ibrox.
However, the Gers are yet to address their biggest concern, which is certainly in regard to their attacking options.
James Tavernier is Rangers’ top scorer with six goals, showcasing the need for a new striker to come in and turn the Light Blues’ fortunes around.
Naderi has already been identified as the man to change that, with a new bid made to seal his arrival before next week’s deadline.

Rangers submit improved offer for Ryan Naderi
With Danilo linked with an exit from Ibrox, and neither Youssef Chermiti nor Bojan Miovski delivering on a consistent basis, Rangers’ title hopes could well hinge on their ability to sign a striker.
Naderi has already been the subject of a bid from the Gers, which was rejected by Hansa Rostock, with a report from Florian Plettenberg stating that a new offer has been submitted.
And once again, the German club have rejected their advances.
It’s claimed that the latest offer guarantees a fee of around £3.1million, with realistic bonuses and a sell-on clause also included.
Naderi is said to be ready to make the move to Ibrox now, but it looks as though the Gers will have to submit yet another improved bid if they are to reach an agreement.
The 22-year-old has eight goals and four assists in 17 appearances so far this season, and should a move happen, it would be the record transfer fee for a player in Germany’s third tier.
What do Rangers see with Naderi?
Given the fact that the Ges have signed a proven Scottish Premiership scorer in Miovski, and a Premier League player in Chermiti, and neither have been able to find the net consistently, you’d be forgiven for wondering why someone from the third tier in Germany would be the answer.
And to be quite frank, very few will be able to tell you the reason why.
However, the 49ers have started using data-led approaches when it comes to recruitment, and that is likely what has led them to Naderi.
On the face of it, his stats are impressive, as demonstrated by the below Sofascore graphic.

If a move does materialise, he will no doubt need some time to get used to what would be a huge jump in quality, but with the players around him, he could thrive.
Creating chances hasn’t been a big issue for Rangers this season, and if they can maintain that for Naderi, he certainly looks like someone who could score goals.
