Sources: Arsenal 'breakthrough' player 'frustrated' & could push to quit
Myles Lewis-Skelly has grown frustrated with the lack of playing time he has received at Arsenal and could push to leave the club this summer.
The 19-year-old burst onto the scene under Mikel Arteta last season, but has started just one Premier League game this term after falling down the pecking order.
Piero Hincapie and Riccardo Calafiori are both ahead of the England international, with game time proving hard to come by, and he is no longer happy playing backup.
As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Transfer Insider podcast, Lewis-Skelly could now look to force a move away from the Emirates when the window opens.
A loan exit is considered the most likely course for the left-back this summer, with all parties open to his departure as Arsenal remain keen to bolster their squad.

Myles Lewis-Skelly could push for Arsenal exit
Football Insider first revealed back in November that Arsenal were keen to keep Lewis-Skelly as a key part of Arteta’s squad for the rest of the season.
Despite a lack of domestic playing time, he has featured heavily in the Champions League, with the Gunners still competing for trophies on all four fronts.
However, his lack of regular minutes compared to his teammates have led to concerns about his development and he is now keen to leave in search of game time.
Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, I revealed: “If he continues to find himself as third choice left back at Arsenal, there might be an opportunity for him to go out on loan.
“Obviously, he had a real breakthrough season last year, Lewis-Skelly, when he was outstanding for Arsenal and ended up signing a new contract.
“But Mikel Arteta has preferred Hincapie and Calafiori and they are two outstanding defenders, so it’s been hard for Lewis-Skelly to get opportunities.

“He’s made just one start in the Premier League and he is frustrated about that, but it’s been difficult to get into Arteta’s star-studded lineup right now.
“It’s something that the club might look at and the player himself might want to look to push for if he wants to be playing regularly.”
Could Eberechi Eze follow Lews-Skelly out of Arsenal?
Lewis-Skelly is not the only player who has been frustrated at Arsenal this season, despite the Gunners closing in on their first league title in over ten years.
Eberechi Eze had endured a mixed first season at the Emirates, with his lack of goals and impact in the final third causing concerns among sections of the fanbase.
However, Football Insider revealed last month that Arsenal have no plans to let Eze go and see him as a valuable member of Arteta’s side now and for the future.

The former Crystal Palace star has struggled for game time for large spells of the season, but has recently capitalised on Martin Odegaard’s absence to stamp his mark on the team.
After shelling out almost £70million to bring him to the Emirates last summer, the Gunners will be hoping he can offer them bid returns in the season’s closing stages.
