West Ham United are open to the idea of letting midfielder Tomas Soucek leave at the end of the season, sources have told Football Insider.

The Hammers are willing to sanction the Czech midfielder’s departure even if they remain in the Premier League, as he is set to enter the final year of his contract at the London Stadium.

The East Londoners are well aware that this summer’s window is likely to be one of their final chances to cash in on the 31-year-old, and sources have indicated that he is no longer seen as the ideal fit in the centre of the park for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side.

Soucek’s current focus is on trying to help the team secure safety rather than the questions surrounding his own future, and he looks likely to depart regardless of which division the team find themselves in next term.

West Ham’s transfer plans will be heavily dictated by the outcome of their relegation battle, but if they survive in the top-flight, they will be keen to strengthen to avoid a similar campaign next term.

David Moyes pushing for Tomas Soucek reunion

Football Insider revealed on Thursday that Everton are keen to sign Soucek again this summer, with ex-Irons boss David Moyes keen to secure a reunion with his former star.

The Scot oversaw the signing of the Czechia international from Slavia Prague on a permanent deal back in 2020, and helped him to play some of his best football since moving to England.

Sources say that the veteran boss remains a big fan of Soucek’s attributes, and would seriously consider a move to bring him to the Hill Dickinson Stadium if the opportunity arose.

West Ham look set to be willing to play ball in that regard, but Everton’s own plans could potentially change between now and the opening of the window.

Their owners The Friedkin Group have huge ambitions for the club, and if the Toffees sneak into the European places at the end of the season, then they may re-align themselves to pursue some bigger targets ahead of next season.

The Merseysiders are currently just three points adrift of fifth-placed Liverpool, as the race for Champions League football is set to be decided in the final seven games of the season.

Adama Traore ready to jump ship at West Ham

Former West Ham scout Mick Brown recently told Football Insider that Adama Traore is set to look for a move away from the London Stadium this summer, despite only joining in January.

The winger previously played under Nuno during their time together at Wolves, but he has not managed to win over the Portuguese at his new club, having started just one Premier League game since his arrival.

Brown insisted that the Spanish star still has plenty of admirers in the top-flight, despite never truly fulfilling the potential that was expected of him earlier in his career.

His current deal is due to run until the end of the campaign, but Brown expects that Traore will not stick around for the one-year extension option to be triggered if the club suffer relegation.

West Ham’s future is looking perilous on the pitch at the moment, and several first-team players would likely turn their backs on the club if they were unable to escape the drop.
