Tottenham: Andoni Iraola odds tumble after Igor Tudor sack update revealed

Andoni Iraola has seen his odds slashed to become the next Tottenham Hotspur manager.

The 43-year-old has impressed at AFC Bournemouth since joining the club in 2023, and currently has the side 10^th in the Premier League table.

Spurs are yet to confirm who will take over from Igor Tudor at the end of the season when the interim manager’s contract expires.

Now, one bookmaker has placed Iraola at 12/1 to take over, ready for the first game of the 2026-27 campaign, with Oddschecker on 20 March confirming that these odds had been slashed.

Therefore, it is increasingly likely that the Spaniard makes a shock switch to Tottenham over the summer.

Can Andoni Iraola be a success at Tottenham?

Appointing Iraola would no doubt be a risk at Tottenham.

The North London club have already attempted to bring in a manager from the Premier League who had overachieved at his club in Thomas Frank, but this proved to be a disaster.

By appointing Iraola, it would see the club repeating this route in the hope of achieving success.

In many ways, the appointment would be far more risky, with the Cherries boss struggling to pick up wins this campaign, with only nine victories in the Premier League to date.

However, his ability to rebuild Bournemouth’s squad could prove to be an eye-catching quality.

The club lost multiple top-quality players over the past 12 months, including Antoine Semenyo and Dean Huijsen, but Iraola has kept the side in the race for European football.

Who else is linked with the Tottenham job?

With Football Insider exclusively revealing that Tudor is one game away from being sacked, all eyes are currently on who could take over.

Mauricio Pochettino continues to remain the favourite for the job at 2/1, closely followed by Roberto De Zerbi at 9/2.

A Tottenham return for Robbie Keane is yet to be ruled out at 8/1, while Sean Dyche remains in the running at 10/1 despite reports indicating that he is unwilling to take the role at present.

Marco Silva is also considered an outsider at 11/1, with his contract situation at Fulham yet to be sorted.

As a result, the manager could depart the Cottagers in the summer, and look to use his skills elsewhere.
