Tottenham fans react to Dominic Solanke injury doubts vs Atletico Madrid – ‘Never-ending’
Tottenham Hotspur fans are ruing their luck as Dominic Solanke has a small injury problem before the Atletico Madrid game on Wednesday.
Igor Tudor confirmed in his pre-match press conference that the striker will be assessed before Spurs face the Spanish club in the second leg of the round of 16 on 18 March.
In the reverse fixture, the North London outfit lost 5-2 at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano and could potentially be without their former Bournemouth centre-forward in their quest to turn the tie around.
Solanke recently returned to action for Tottenham and his fitness issue will undoubtedly be a concern for the Croatian manager in N17.

Dominic Solanke injury highlights crisis at Tottenham
Solanke was part of a long list of injuries at Tottenham, which includes the likes of Dejan Kulusevski, James Maddison, Mohammed Kudus, Rodrigo Bentancur, Wilson Odobert and Ben Davies.
The striker has picked up another slight issue, with one fan on X bemoaning the “never-ending” cycle of fitness issues at the North London outfit in recent months.
With the number of players unavailable at Spurs, some supporters are left numb to the situation, with one claiming that a “small problem” means he’s out for the rest of the season.
A section of the fanbase in N17 wants to see the 28-year-old sold alongside Richarlison and other injury-prone players.
Questions are being raised about what’s going on with the Lilywhites’ medical department, as such a situation is arguably unprecedented.
As soon as it looks like Spurs might be making some progress, there’s some sort of setback and they’re forced to take two steps back.
Who will replace Richarlison and Dominic Solanke vs Atletico Madrid?
It must be noted that Richarlison is suspended against Atletico after picking up his third yellow card of the competition in the 5-2 defeat.
If Solanke is also unavailable, then Tudor will be left with Randal Kolo Muani and Mathys Tel as his only viable natural number nine options at Tottenham.
It wouldn’t be surprising to see the Paris Saint-Germain loanee start in the middle alongside the former Bayern Munich youngster with Xavi Simons in the number 10 position.
The North London outfit have a monumental task to qualify for the quarter-final of the Champions League and it’s hard to see them going through with so many selection headaches.
Summer Focus: Survival contingent
Risk: £250m hit if relegated
Long-term: Maddison, Kulusevski
Date: Tuesday, March 10
Candidates: De Zerbi, Keane, Redknapp, Dyche
