Tottenham line up £30m-rated Mohammed Kudus replacement as personal terms agreed

Tottenham are in the winter market to find a late solution to Mohammed Kudus’ absence.

Joe Lewis has money to spend in what’s left of the transfer window, as he looks to back the Lilywhites, regardless of what he decides to do with a sack-threatened Thomas Frank.

The Spurs boss may have gotten himself out of trouble in the Champions League, following the 2-0 victory on the road against Frankfurt on Wednesday, but the Dane still misses his star man.

Kudus is currently sidelined with a muscle injury and could be out until April, with the Lilywhites in desperate need of a new right-winger.

Luckily for Tottenham, it looks like Johan Lange is ready to make waves before Monday’s deadline.

Tottenham want to sign Moussa Diaby

Brennan Johnson’s move to Crystal Palace means that Frank is even shorter for options on the right side of attack following Kudus’ lengthy setback.

There have been issues in the final third this season for the Lilywhites, but Frank could be handed a get-out-of-jail-free card in the form of Al Ittihad’s Moussa Diaby.

Miguel Delaney has reported that Tottenham are exploring a move for Al-Ittihad forward Diaby.

It’s not known what type of deal that Spurs are pursuing yet, as it could be either a loan move or a permanent one.

But the Lilywhites are in a race against time as Diaby is already close to joining another side.

Tottenham are trying to hijack Inter Milan’s move for Diaby

In a transfer saga that could be very reminiscent of how Spurs signed Conor Gallagher from Atletico Madrid, the same could be happening in the case of Diaby.

As reported by Fabrizio Romano on Thursday, Inter Milan have verbally agreed on personal terms to sign the Frenchman.

The deal would be a loan move that includes a £30m buy option, but the Saudi side has yet to green-light the transfer.

This could be because Al Ittihad are now aware of Tottenham’s interest, and could hold out for financial terms that benefit them the most.

It’s crunch time for Lange and Co., and it would be no surprise to see Diaby end up as the latest arrival at N17 following these developments.
