Tottenham next manager: Roberto De Zerbi odds-on favourite as Igor Tudor replacements assessed
Tottenham Hotspur are set to hire a new manager until the end of the season after mutually agreeing to cut Igor Tudor’s time short.
The 47-year-old was appointed in February to replace Thomas Frank, but failed to win a single one of his five Premier League games in charge.
He leaves Tottenham just one point above the relegation zone, with his final act having been to lose 3-0 to relegation rivals Nottingham Forest at home.
Decision-makers at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium now face a crucial decision for the club’s future and stability.
Tottenham’s next manager will have seven games to pick up a broken squad and keep them in the Premier League.

Roberto De Zerbi leads race to replace Igor Tudor
Football Insider exclusively revealed on Sunday that Roberto De Zerbi wants a Premier League return, with both Tottenham and Manchester United paying attention.
The 46-year-old is available after leaving Marseille in February, and has experience of managing in the English top flight with Brighton.

The Seagulls best-ever top-flight finish, sixth in the 2022-23 season, came after the Italian had been appointed in September of the same season to replace Graham Potter.
De Zerbi’s football caught the league’s attention, with his team’s stunning ability to play out from the back studied by other managers.
Despite a disappointing 2023-24 season, which saw his side finish 11th, Brighton fans chanted that they wanted the 46-year-old to stay, as he attempted to explain his departure.
The Italian only spent one full season at Marseille, but it saw the French club rise from eighth in the 2023-24 season to second in the last campaign.

One major bookmaker has named De Zerbi the favourite to take over at Tottenham at 4/9, with Sean Dyche (1/1), Harry Redknapp (11/2) and Mauricio Pochettino (10/1) also in the race.
Tottenham face battle to convince managers
Tottenham are reportedly considering several options to arrive as an interim manager for the final seven games.
The trouble in their attempts to hire a manager of the ilk of De Zerbi right now is that the Italian, like many other candidates, does not want to manage in the Championship.
Any arriving candidate at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium right now faces the risk of having Tottenham’s relegation from the Premier League added to their CV.
Should they stay up, decision-makers will have little trouble attracting a big-name manager in the summer. For their next seven games, however, it is unclear whose hands their fate will rest in.
