Tottenham now perfectly placed for Robin Risser as Guglielmo Vicario exit nears
Tottenham Hotspur are gearing up for Guglielmo Vicario’s exit this summer, with RC Lens goalkeeper Robin Risser now the clear man to go for.
Vicario is said to be leaving the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer, with several suitors interested back in his homeland of Italy.
Spurs have seen multiple players drop in terms of individual levels this season, none more than the Italian, who has made too many mistakes.
If the Lilywhites are relegated, then Vicario will only be one of several players who will be destined to leave, but either way, the writing is on the wall for his journey in N17.
Tottenham could push for Risser as a replacement, who has been playing consistently well in Ligue 1 with RC Lens.

Tottenham have fresh interest in Robin Risser
Inter Milan look to be leading the race to sign Vicario, who, as Fabrizio Romano confirmed on Tuesday, is set to leave the Lilywhites in the summer.
Tottenham have been linked with Risser past the winter window, which suggests club officials have identified the shot-stopper as a replacement for Vicario.
Area of game Stats Matches 31 Saves 83 Goals conceded 50 Goals prevented -5.22 FotMob rating 6.68
As seen in the table above, Vicario has been in horrible form under different managers, but there is hope that he can turn it around under Roberto De Zerbi.
The only other viable option Spurs have is Antonin Kinsky, but as seen in the Champions League against Atletico Madrid, he may not be the best shot-stopper to play either.
Given that Spurs’ interest in Risser is fresh, and there have been no other major links to any other number one, the Frenchman may be high up on Johan Lange’s list of replacements, with this summer the perfect time to strike.
How well has Risser performed this season?
Risser has been with RC Lens for just one season and is still tied down to the Ligue 1 side until the summer of 2030.
The 21-year-old could be available, but it might be a hefty price that the Lilywhites have to pay for his services, as Lens will know he still has plenty of time to get even better.

As seen in the Sofascore graphic above, Risser had an impressive 7.22 rating in the league after 24 games, with some of the highest-ranked stats for goalkeeper’s.
Fast forward another four games, and he has a 7.18 rating, still up there among the best keepers, if not the best one in Ligue 1.
