Tottenham ready to appoint interim manager after Thomas Frank sack news
Tottenham have already set their sights on a familiar face to replace Thomas Frank until the end of the season.
Tottenham secured a 2-0 win over Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League on Wednesday, but that will do nothing to distract people from the ongoing crisis in North London.
Ange Postecoglou removed any confidence from this side last season, and the feeling was that things couldn’t get any worse.
Technically, with Spurs a handful of points better off this season than they were at the same stage last season, they haven’t, though it’s also fair to say that things also haven’t got any better.
As a result, Frank remains at risk of the sack at Tottenham, and while he is due to take Thursday’s press conference as usual, Spurs are already lining up his temporary replacement.

Tottenham want ex-midfielder to replace Thomas Frank
Robbie Keane has been mooted for the Tottenham job if Frank were to be sacked, but it’s believed that Spurs are looking for a short-term appointment if that were to be the case.
As a result, Sportsboom have reported that former Spurs midfielder and coach, Ryan Mason, has been lined up for a potential job, just weeks after he was sacked at West Brom.
It’s claimed that Mason is seen as a “safe choice” in North London, presumably because of his knowledge of the club, the fans, and perhaps most importantly, the expectations, which have dropped off a cliff over the last 12 months.
The 24-year-old took charge of 27 games at The Hawthorns, averaging just 1.15 points per game before being replaced by Eric Ramsay.
Given his connection with Spurs, it’s likely that Mason would return in a heartbeat, though, as of yet, there is no job for him to assume control over.

Who else could replace Frank at Tottenham?
The same report that mentions Mason claims that Ruben Amorim and Xabi Alonso are also in the running for the job, though these are likely to be appointments made at the end of the season, as opposed to throughout it.
Amorim was sacked by Manchester United at the start of January, while Alonso also suffered an identical fate at Real Madrid despite being in the title race.
As for Tottenham, they need someone who can improve the players in North London, which is something both Postecoglou and Frank have failed to do.
Oliver Glasner remains a strong candidate despite the struggles he has faced at Crystal Palace, having announced that he will depart Selhurst Park in the summer.
