Tottenham want to sign player Steven Gerrard and Jurgen Klopp love
Jurgen Klopp and Steven Gerrard could be keeping a close eye on Tottenham in the near future.
The Liverpool duo have no association with the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium side, but they may soon have a reason to follow the North London outfit.
Thomas Frank is keen for reinforcements while the transfer window is still open, and he could look to Liverpool to make his next addition.
The beleaguered Spurs manager needs top quality in his side, and he could look to Merseyside to find it.

Tottenham want Curtis Jones as Liverpool exit stance shared
John Wenham had heard that Spurs wanted Curtis Jones, and it appears that the speculation was true after the latest update.
A report from the Daily Mail on 21 January claims that the Lilywhites have a long-standing interest in the Reds star and want to add attacking threat despite signing Conor Gallagher.

It states that he is a key part of Arne Slot’s plans and has previously spoken about wanting to emulate Gerrard and commit his career to the Anfield club.
What did Gerrard and Klopp say about Jones?
Gerrard has admitted that Jones has taken the step up and looks ready to lead the Reds, which makes him a perfect character for Spurs.
Speaking in 2024, the Reds legend and former Rangers boss said: ‘I have just known all along that with the right guidance and support he can become that Scouse heartbeat of the team, and I think he is ready to be that heartbeat now.’
Klopp was also a huge admirer of Jones, with the German boss having brought him into the first-team picture from the academy.
Speaking in 2024, he said: “We all know how good a player Curtis is, he’s technically incredibly skilled, but he finds more and more direction in his dribbling, he gets better out of situations.
“And his pressing, counter-pressing, meanwhile, he sets the level, actually, how it should look. I’m really happy with that. It keeps every player in the game.”
That is high praise from two leading figures involved in his boyhood club, and he is exactly the type of character that Frank and Co should be looking at.
He has developed into a top option in the middle of the park, capable of playing the majority of roles in the engine room, and he would bring a different aspect to the N17 side.
Given his long association with the Merseyside club, it may prove difficult to prise him away, but the Lilywhites should at the very least try to do so.
If they cannot poach his signature, then so be it, but they would be silly not to try and tempt him with more regular playing time, and the chance of a new environment.
