Trevoh Chalobah: The five games he will miss for Chelsea as six-week injury timeframe revealed
Trevoh Chalobah is facing six weeks on the sidelines after suffering an ankle injury in Chelsea‘s Champions League loss to PSG in midweek.
Chalobah went down in agony after a clash with Achraf Hakimi in the 83rd minute of PSG’s 3-0 win at Stamford Bridge.
He immediately called out for the attention of the Chelsea physio team after going down, and had to be stretchered off the pitch minutes later as the hosts played out the rest of the game with 10 men.
Rosenior is now down on numbers at the back, with Reece James, Levi Colwill and Malo Gusto all already unavailable for this game.
Chelsea’s defensive injuries look to be racking up as the season draws to a close, and the manager has now revealed the extent of Chalobah’s woes.

Trevoh Chalobah to miss next five Chelsea games including key Man City and Man United clashes
Chalobah has played regularly for Chelsea at centre-back this season, with the PSG clash being his 46th appearance of the campaign and sixth Champions League start so far.
He was linked away from the club in January, but Rosenior decided against letting him go, and he had played the full 90 minutes in nine of their previous 10 games before Tuesday.

Rosenior spoke out about his latest blow in his press conference on Thursday, and admitted that the 26-year-old is facing around six weeks on the sidelines, which is a more positive outcome than what many feared directly after the incident.
He said: “Fortunately, it’s nowhere near as serious as we first feared. It’s still serious, and it’s never good that Trev’s out, but we’re looking at a period of around six weeks.”
Chalobah likely to miss out on the World Cup after latest blow
Football Insider recently revealed that Aston Villa are interested in Chalobah, but any summer move away from Chelsea must been deemed unlikely as he impresses under Rosenior.
England manager Thomas Tuchel was watching on at Stamford Bridge as Chalobah had to be stretchered off, likely with the intention of calling him up to his next Three Lions squad.
The England squad for the upcoming friendlies against Uruguay and Japan is to be named on Friday, with this being the final chance to impress Tuchel before he picks his World Cup contingent in June.
Any chance that Chalobah had of playing in the friendlies has now been quashed, and his World Cup dream could well be over too, with just four league games of the season left when he returns from injury.
