View: Crystal Palace look as though they could inadvertently fund Rangers player's Ibrox exit
Crystal Palace could play an inadvertent role in late transfer business at Rangers ahead of the deadline on Monday night.
It’s been a busy winter at Ibrox, with Danny Rohl welcoming Tochi Chukwuani, Tuur Rommens and Andreas Skov Olsen to his squad.
Kieran Dowell has left on a permanent basis, while loan deals have been struck for Oscar Cortes, Lyall Cameron and Findlay Curtis.
Scottish clubs have until 11pm on Monday to sign off on any more arrivals, before locking in their squads for the rest of the season.
And while Rangers have been strongly linked with signing a new forward, there’s also a chance that they could do business that sees Rohl’s attacking options thinned out.

Danilo spotted at NEC Nijmegen game, as Crystal Palace line up Kodai Sano
On Saturday, Rangers forward Danilo was spotted in the stands as NEC Nijmegen won 3-1 away at AZ Alkmaar in the Dutch Eredivisie.
Victory for NEC put them above Ajax and into third in the standings.
Japan striker Kodai Sano was on the scoresheet in what could be his final game for NEC, as clubs line up moves for him before the Monday deadline.
According to Dutch journalist Mike Verweij, Ajax have submitted an offer worth £8.6million, plus Ahmetcan Kaplan, who is already on loan at NEC.
The Telegraaf journalist added in another post on X that Crystal Palace and Wolfsburg are also weighing up late bids for Sano.
And with that money, NEC could prise Danilo away from Ibrox, allowing Rangers to then spend some money on adding to their own forward options.
What are the terms of Danilo’s return to the Netherlands?
Rangers signed Danilo from Feyenoord in a deal worth up to £6m in July 2023.
He’s since gone on to play 76 times in all competitions for the Glasgow giants, scoring 16 goals and supplying 11 assists.
However, as shown in stats by Sofascore, the Brazilian has found himself on the periphery of the Gers squad this season and allowing him to leave to free up wages and some room in the dressing room makes sense.

Earlier this week, Dutch news outlet VI revealed the terms of Danilo’s potential move to NEC.
It is understood that the ex-Ajax forward would prefer a loan move to the Gelderland club. However, Rangers’ preference is that he leave permanently.
Champions League club Pafos were keen on him, but after he was spotted in the Netherlands on Saturday, it looks as though the Cypriots have missed out on a deal and he’s now set to join NEC on loan.
VI adds that there’s no option-to-buy clause, and he needs to undergo a medical.
That means that the money from Sano’s move to Ajax – or Crystal Palace if they can hijack that deal – will likely just fund Danilo’s wages.
