Everton could already be sniffing a big derby win against Liverpool next month.

The Toffees are on a roll, with their 3-0 win against Chelsea seeing them pick up successive home wins for the first time since the move to Hill Dickinson Stadium.

At the same time, rivals Liverpool have continued to stumble this season, with a 2-1 loss against Brighton following up dropped points against both Wolves and Tottenham as of late.

As with the final derby at Goodison Park last term, Everton will be looking to make a statement as they welcome the Reds to their new home for the first time.

To make matters even sweeter for supporters, they have the chance to further impact the Champions League race after beating Chelsea, with the clash with Liverpool fast approaching, leaving them in a spot in which they could even enter that race themselves.

The Reds sit just three points away in fifth. Should the Toffees pick up what could be a season-defining win against Brentford after the international break, they have the chance to draw level with their arch rivals.

Noy only would this be a huge statement as they battle for Europe, it would be a huge blow to Liverpool after spending so much last summer.
