View: Everton cannot stand still as £13m transfer target 'destined' for exit already
Artem Dovbyk was on Everton’s radar in the January window, but the Toffees were unable to get a deal over the line.
The Ukrainian has not had the best of spells at Roma, with injury plaguing his time in the Serie A this season.
However, before making the move to the Yellow and Reds, the 28-year-old proved himself as a clinical finisher for Girona in La Liga.
His 35-goal contributions in 41 games for the Catalan-based club showcased how influential he could be in the final third.
Everton’s transfer interest shows they value his spell in La Liga, and even his first season in Italy, to a high degree, and Dovbyk could be set for Hill Dickinson now after the latest reports.

What has been said about Artem Dovbyk’s Roma future?
According to Italian outlet Corriere Dello Sport, Dovbyk is one of seven Roma players that are “destined to leave” the club in the upcoming summer window.
With Everton previously scouting Dovbyk, they can have a second chance at securing a deal, and if he is a player David Moyes likes, they cannot stand still and watch him slip through their hands.

Other than this campaign, due to a hamstring injury, Dovbyk has hit double digits in the league in every season since 2021-2022.
That level of consistency will no doubt be of interest to Hill Dickinson officials, with Beto and Thierno Barry still yet to hit those numbers this campaign.
Additionally, in European competition, the Ukrainian has proven himself there too.
With the Blues targeting Europe, his seven goal contributions for Dnipro in the 2022-2023 Conference League will positively raise eyebrows.
Overall, with his availability on the market, the Merseyside club must not allow one of their targets to escape their grasp again.

How much could Artem Dovbyk cost Everton?
According to Transfermarket, the 28-year-old is currently valued at £13million, which is a sharp decline from his valuation of £30.4m total in 2024.
The Italian outfit, who are also owned by the Friedkin Group, will have to fix their financial books, leaving room for the Blues to negotiate.
With the Serie A club needing a cash injection from player sales and a reduction in wages, they will have little wiggle room to wait and demand a high fee.
After a January pursuit, the Toffees may finally be able to land their target ahead of next season.
