The Everton midfielder continued to stoke the flame, posting on his X account in response to the quote, stating: “Couple hungry people on here… I wasn’t lying though.”

Dewsbury-Hall has admitted he is open to being Everton captain, and with antics like the above, he has proven he completely gets it at the Toffees, despite his short spell so far.

The Everton midfielder has found it tough to get one over Liverpool throughout his career, but not through his own fault.

In fact, in his five starts against the red side of the city, he has secured three goal contributions. That level of return paints a picture of a player that could hurt Liverpool.

However, his record of just one win in six appearances will not amuse the Toffees star one bit.

David Moyes will certainly be hoping to help the 27-year-old begin amending that win record, and alongside his personal performances, he could add another goal or assist as well.
