View: FA Cup draw perfect for Everton's European dreams
Everton would have preferred to be involved in Sunday’s FA Cup semi-final draw, but the games drawn will delight those at Hill Dickinson Stadium.
The Toffees exited the FA Cup at the first time of asking this season against Sunderland, as a wait for a trophy continues to rumble on.
However, the Blues could have plenty to celebrate this season, with a spot in Europe on the line in the last few weeks of the season.
As it stands, eight places could result in Conference League football, but that could all change based on who wins the FA Cup.
However, ahead of Everton’s final matches, the FA Cup draw has presented the perfect set of cup fixtures for David Moyes as the Merseyside club’s European dream continues.

Why Everton will be delighted with the FA Cup draw
The final four of the FA Cup have been confirmed, with Manchester City, Chelsea, Leeds United and Southampton hoping for cup glory.
There is an added incentive to winning the competition, as the winner will secure guaranteed entry into the Europa League.
Current European spots in the Premier League Position Champions League 1st to 5th Europa League 6th and FA Cup winners Conference League 7th
As it stands, Man City will more than likely already be qualified for the Champions League, with Chelsea also sitting in sixth, a Europa League spot.
Additionally, Man City’s Carabao Cup success puts the Conference League qualification back into the league.
In the event that either side wins the FA Cup, that European spot will also go back into the league standings, provided Chelsea finishes in any place seventh or above, should they win the cup.
This means that the Europa League will go to seventh place, with Conference League qualification for eighth.
Right now, Everton are projected by the supercomputer to finish in eighth.
So the FA Cup draw of Manchester City getting Southampton and Chelsea facing Leeds increases the likelihood of either side winning the cup.
The pair could even face each other in the final. It is the perfect outcome for Moyes’ side.

Everton should not rely on FA Cup outcome
The worst thing Everton can do is already count on eighth place being a spot in Europe, as we have already seen that cup exits are possible.
Arsenal’s elimination by Southampton was certainly surprising, and who is to say they cannot repeat the trick at Wembley against Manchester City?
Additionally, Chelsea have failed to beat Leeds twice this season already, making their inclusion in the final not a guarantee.
The Toffees’ must approach matches with eyes set on finishing in at least seventh as an insurance policy.
