View: Moyes can't repeat mistake as Everton step up pursuit for 12 g/a attacker

David Moyes must not repeat his Tyler Dibling mistake if Everton sign Esmir Bajraktarevic.

The former Southampton man has found gametime hard to come by at the Hill Dickinson Stadium since joining last summer.

The 20-year-old has played 17 times, for a total of 513 minutes, with no goals or assists to show in that time.

It has been a miserable time on Merseyside for the promising winger after his £42million transfer, and if the PSV Eindhoven man is signed, his prospects will be even worse.

Everton can’t afford to give Bajraktarevic as little chances as Dibling if he is brought in when the transfer market reopens.

What has emerged about Everton offer for Bajraktarevic?

Bajraktarevic is already the subject of an offer from Everton, as the Blues step up their pursuit for the man who scored and assisted 12 times this season.

A report from Bosnian news outlet SportSport on 28 April claimed that the Toffees are awaiting a response from the Dutch club.

It states that the outcome of the bid is currently unknown.

Why can’t Moyes afford to make same mistake with Bajraktarevic?

Bajraktarevic is far too talented to fall to the wayside like Dibling has, and if Moyes continues to treat young talents the way that he has, it will surely not benefit the Blues.

They need to be playing, learning and developing, rather than sitting on the bench for the majority of the campaign, handed brief moments to shine.

The 21-year-old has already shown that he can cut it in a top division, with four goals and five assists in 26 Eredivisie appearances.

He has totalled seven goals and five assists for the campaign in all competitions, and has also played four times in the Champions League.

Moyes must not leave the 14-cap international to bed in slowly like he has with Dibling, if he is added to the squad, he must play a prominent role in the top-flight next season.

The L3 club can’t afford to keep spending their money on projects, that are not ready to play, they need players that are immediately ready, so if that is their verdict on the Bosnian, they may as well pass up on his signature.
